I Am the Moon

The moon rises and falls. Rises and falls.
She sings in the open sky. She sings in shrouded darkness. Always still. Always moving. Always singing.

The dulled mind continues on, none the wiser,
cut off from her energy. Deaf to her song.

The full of mind hear her tune,
and with enough practice, enough stillness,
enough acceptance, join in.

Eventually, connected rhythms eclipse
detached dreams and expectations.
Together, presence abounds.

I am the dulled mind.
I am the mindful.
I am the moon.
